Nail Tech going blind
Donation protected
I’m a 24 year old up coming nail tech. I was always interested in doing nails. I love the time and effort that goes into doing nails. I was diagnosed with Keratoconus two years ago. This disease causes me to see double, and I’m sensitive to headlights and bright lights. Even the sun bothers me some days. Been to several specialists. My insurance does not cover my cross linking procedure to stop the disease from progressing. It also doesn’t cover the special contact lenses I need to be able to see correctly again.
Over the last two years I watched my eyesight get worse with no money to fix it. I tried to carry on about life with this eye disease that can eventually cause me to go blind if I don’t correct it now. Keratoconus discouraged me from doing what I love most which is nails.
