Nairobi Orphanage Project

In a few days time, I will be traveling to Nairobi in Kenya, where I will be participating in a volunteering program with Volunteering Solutions.

For two weeks, I will be working in an orphanage in Nairobi, helping out with the day-to-day running of the orphanage and helping to look after the children. Nairobi is a city with pockets of extreme poverty, with many orphanages that depend on volunteers and continued financial support to help take care of vulnerable children.

I have set up this GoFundMe page to try to help raise some funds for the orphanage that I will be placed in. Any money raised will be spent directly on essential items for the children. This will include items such as sanitary equipment, medicine, toys and educational materials.

I will seek advice from the local program leader upon arrival on how funds raised can be best spent to help the orphanage. I will document how all the money raised will be spent, and hopefully show the positive impact that any donations made will have.
