Nakamura-Zimmerman Lahaina Wildfire Support Fund

Aloha,

My name is Preston Zimmerman, and as you likely already know, the Hawaiian town of Lahaina, Maui has been destroyed by a Wildfire. My sister, Rachael Zimmerman, and her partner, Nicole Nakamura thankfully made it out of the fire without any serious physical harm. They were only able to grab their dog Ziya, a bike, and each other before they had to leave their home.

Unfortunately, we just received confirmation that their condo complex, was lost in the raging fires that destroyed this historic neighborhood. While the news is devastating, we are so fortunate that they are safe. However, they need your support now. It is unclear what will happen in the coming days, weeks, and months, but we do know that they will need help in rebuilding their lives.

Currently, Rachael will be out of work as the tourism industry in her area will be deeply affected by the fires, and as a photographer, Rachael relied on tourists who have her capture their special moments, from engagements & weddings to surf lessons and family portraits. Nicole will be unable to support her clients due to the impact of the devastation and having to rebuild. She is unsure if she will have capacity to work. The money you donate will go toward ensuring their continued health and safety and any other needs that may arise in these difficult and trying times.
