Nakita & Troy Emergency Assistance for home fire

On Wednesday, August 7, 2019 we arrived in Charleston, South Carolina for our family vacation around 10am. At 4:03pm I received a notification on my citizens App stating that an apartment in a building was on fire, it didn’t state the building number. I then called my mother and asked if she’s heard anything about a fire in our block in the Bronx, she hadn’t heard anything but still said she was gonna get a cab to go there & check being we were not in state. As soon as I hung up from her I explored the story of the fire more thorough on the app. As I did I began to see videos. There were 4 different videos that showed my building and all of my windows broken out while firefighters spray water throughout our apartment and throw the mattress, the tv & other things that were still inflamed out the windows. You can’t even begin to imagine how my heart dropped. That was our home, on fire, smoke coming from every window we had and here we are 800 miles away. Praise god We are all ok, even down to our family pets, my cat and dog survived it all. This is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to deal with but we will pull through some how some way. We want to thank each and everyone of you who has reached out. We truly appreciate all the abundance of love and concern that you have given our family during this time.
