Nala, three legged German Shepherd

Nala is an eight years old German Shepherd. On 20th of January 2023 Nala has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right back leg. Tests and x rays showed that cancer has not spread anywhere else in her body so decision was made to amputate Nala’s leg. She had surgery on Friday 27th January 2023 and is currently still recovering and awaiting to start chemotherapy. Unfortunately, as you can imagine veterinary treatment that Nala is receiving is not cheap and her insurance will

only cover some of the costs leaving me to cover the rest which I worry I won’t be able to. Furthermore, Nala might require a wheelchair to help her mobilise due to being a large dog and already living with arthritis which again I’m afraid I will not be able to afford. Thus, I made a decision to create this gofundme - hoping that kind people will help me to ensure my best friend receives the treatment she needs and that I will get to spend as long with her as possible.

Nala means everything to me, she came into my life when I was in a very dark place and I’m not afraid to admit that she has saved my life. Everyday, she’s giving me so much peace and pure happiness that is just impossible to describe. The day I found out she has cancer was possibly the worse day of my life. The idea that she is suffering and the thought of losing her has caused me so much heartache I can’t even begin to describe it and the fact that we have been given this chance and I am able to prolong losing her is something that definitely keeps me going. That is why I’m asking you to donate to Nala and help me provide treatment and care for my best friend so that I don’t have to say goodbye to her yet.

All money donated will go towards treatment for Nala and possibly buying her a wheelchair if she will require one. Anything left that won’t be needed will be further donated to help another pet in need.
