Nalanie Needs Surgery

Hello, I hope you have been well this time, first I want to apologize for not having updated this before, to update you I will try to be as brief as possible.
Since I arrived in Venezuela I put myself in medical control to be able to proceed with the surgery, this time it was with a new doctor that my mother wanted me to give her the opportunity to see me since she is a very good surgeon. When I told her about the times that my legs fell asleep she was very shocked, being the first time she heard this "symptom" in a case of a lipomatous tumor, given this we decided to put on hold the process of the operation and go to a neurosurgeon to be evaluated better, after going to the neurologist he sent me to do a MRI of the lumbar spine.
The MRI came out well, and the neurologist gave his approval to proceed with the removal of the tumor, about the fleeting paraplegia there is no answer, so the doctor will keep me under observation for the next few months (he was also very surprised when I told him about this symptom).
The surgeon doctor put me on controlled rest since I arrived, I cannot lift anything, bend down or do any movement that may be bothersome to my back, which helped me a lot to tolerate the pain.
The surgery was finally performed on November 18, without any complications out of the ordinary and I am currently recovering from it.
I’m healing faster than expected, thankfully my body have received well the antibiotics.
It was a slow process since I arrived, but finally I am at the final stretch and I am really happy -and relief- with the results.
Thank you for being patient with me, and for all of your well wishes.
Edit: I currently have postoperative expenses, I would love if you can support me for the time I’m recuperating. Also my family is right now dealing with a lot of economical issues, all the help you can provide us will be very much appreciated
Edit 2 (12/12): past Monday I had a check up appointment and the doctor decided to insert a new tube in my back (the other one was removed two weeks ago) because it is still bleeding (it must have stopped bleeding when the other tube was removed)
Edit 3 (12/15): The tube was removed on Tuesday afternoon and we are hoping it will not bleed again. My body it’s not absorbing the blood as it should.
————-This fundraiser is for my dear friend Nalanie! She needs surgery for a tumor on her back, which is starting to cause serious problems such losing control of her legs ( it is beginning to press into her nerves in her spine area)! Below is what Nalanie wrote in her own words on her situation:
"Hello, my name is Roxana, but you know me as Nani/Nalanie. I am 23 years old, currently living in Colombia. When I was 19 years old, I noticed a small lump in my lower back, but as it was very small I never gave it importance until 2021 when I realized it had grown much larger. Still, I did not go to the doctor because it did not generate pain, it continued to grow, and from a year ago until today it has doubled in size.
At the end of June, I began to experience a strong and unbearable pain in my lower back. I finally went for a checkup, where I was first diagnosed with a benign lipomatous tumor. The doctor that day told me that the lipoma was inflamed, and I spent several days with painkillers that helped me very little. Eventually, the inflammation it went down- but I still continued to have severe pain and constant discomfort in the area where the lipoma is.
On August 20 I had a conversation with the doctor, who asked me if my legs fell asleep from time to time, it turns out that this has been happening to me for some time, but I associated it with my training at the gym but not with the lipoma. The doctor told me that this can happen because the lipoma may be beginning to affect a nerve in the lumbar area, then on Friday August 26 I lost control over my legs for about two minutes.
Because of these serious symptoms that I am now presenting, my family and I have agreed to bring forward the surgery a month earlier than expected, since as the days go by, the symptoms are more constant.
This has taken me out of the budget I had planned for the surgery and the trip (the operation will be in Venezuela), and this is where I ask for your help / collaboration, to be able to carry out the procedure as soon as possible.
I truly appreciate any help you can provide, everything counts even smol contributions.
Thank you for reading. "
