Nalini Patel - Breast Cancer GoFundMe

This fundraiser is for my mother, Nalini Patel.
Some knew my mom in their youth, when she would help organize Diwali programs, choreograph dances, do hair or makeup for the kids in our local Indian community for many years. Others may remember her for the after-school programs she hosted for young girls, creating fun craft projects and teaching us more about our heritage. All while also furthering her own education/career, operating a local business, and raising three kids as the primary provider of the family. But most of all, many people know Nalini because of her drive and passion for her business and clients at Nalini's Salon & Day Spa/White Lotus Holistic Spa, of which she has operated for over 35 years. A woman who would work around the clock for her family, community and customers, and would prioritize anyone above herself no matter how tired or stressed she would be.
Nalini was diagnosed with Breast Cancer this year. Unfortunately, she does not have insurance nor qualifies for any financial assistance at the time, and medical attention cannot wait.
Currently, she is scheduled to have the port surgery Friday (Sept.11th) costing $9,000; and her chemotherapy starts soon after. There will be 15 Chemotherapy treatments over the course of the next 5-6 months, each costing $20,000. As of right now, we currently assume the medical expenses to be well over $309,000.
As she will require many months of healing both physically and mentally, she will not be able to work and earn both her livelihood and medical bills. Her family is hoping to reduce the financial burden and mental strain, but any help is tremendously appreciated!
