Name-A-Hero

     As many of you know, I recently had the outstanding experience of being placed and trained with a guide dog at South Eastern Guide Dogs. Meeting and training with Buddy and the staff at S.E.G.D. was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. The freedom that comes with having Buddy as my new eyes is indescribable. You all know I’ve never let my lack of vision slow me down, but having Buddy by my side has allowed me to live with a confidence and security I never thought I could attain.

     S.E.G.D. makes these miracles happen every day at absolutely no cost to the recipients. These dogs are heroes, but they are not just born, they are made. It takes years of training and careful breeding to make a hero. After all is said and done, these hero pups receive tens of thousands of dollars worth of training. After having my life transformed by S.E.G.D. and Buddy, I just couldn’t sit idly by without helping make this magic happen for more of the people who need it.
