Nana and Papa and their Grandson need to move

Hi, my name is Joel, and I am asking for your help on behalf of my Mom Connie, my Stepdad Dave, and their 14 year old grandson, my nephew, Morgan.

Mom and Dave (or Nana and Papa, depending on who you ask) have been raising their grandson Morgan since he was a baby. Over the past couple of years, their family has been hit by COVID-19 more than once, with serious illness. My mother nearly died a year ago. Dave also suffered through a very serious COVID-19 illness made all the more concerning by his 70+ years of age. The long-term care expenses for their COVID recovery alone was a painful setback for the family on a financial level and Dave made a decision to exit retirement and rejoin the workforce to rebuild what he could of their nest egg despite being over 70 years old.

Two weeks after starting a new job in the aeronautic engineering industry, my stepdad Dave suffered a major heart attack and has since suffered multiple heart events and developed severe congestive heart failure. It goes without saying that the job is no longer an option.

Nana Connie and Papa Dave are left with many thousands of dollars of medical debt, including costs for ongoing care devices to help Papa live comfortably while he slowly recovers from multiple surgeries and many weeks of hospital care.

On top of everything, we now find that Nana and Papa are being forced to move out of their rental home and will need to find a new place, provide all deposits, and have their life uprooted and moved before the end of June this year.

Because their grandson has some special needs and must stay in his current school district if at all possible and Papa Dave can not leave the region his heart doctor works in, they are going to have to stay in or around Saint Johns, Florida and the cost of living has increased significantly in that area of the past few years.

The cost of just one rental application is $300-400 dollars.

The cost of moving and temporary storage until they are settled will quickly climb to $1000 before they are done with this process despite giving away many beautiful pieces of furniture which they have collected over decades of married life together.

And a cheap rental big enough for a family of three is going to be at least $2000/month plus the deposit and last month's rent fees which will be a minimum of an additional $4000.

Please help me move my Mom and Step dad. Help me move my nephew Morgan. Help us move them to a safe place where they can continue the long road to recovery from COVID and worse while still providing a safe and loving home for their grandson.
