Shanair's breast reduction challenge

Hello my name is Shanair. I am 20 years old and reside in Brooklyn New York.

I am an EMS worker who loves my job. Since birth I have had to overcome so many unfortunate circumstances that led to challenges. I chose to become an EMS worker because it gives me the opportunity to help people through theirs.

Since my early teens I've struggled with the size of my breasts, missing out on a lot of things that a teen would enjoy. Unfortunately, the older I became the more they grew.

I suffer not only from unwanted attention but also terrible, terrible back pain. My bra size is a 38O (yes you read that right a 38O).

What most might find attractive is becoming a handicap for me. I don't want this situation I am dealing with to continue to interfere with my health or happiness and I definitely do not want it to hinder my career path.

My reason for this GofundMe is because I am again facing a challenge. I am in desperate need of a surgery to reduce my debilitating breast and the only way to do that is thru a breast reduction. My insurance only covers a quarter of it, which leaves me with a balance of $4,000. I need to have that by August 1st or it would leave me having to start the months long process over again.

I don't typically ask for help but I would greatly appreciate any immediate support at this time. Every dollar counts!
