Cremation & Memorial Fund Nancy Boykin We Will Miss You!

On October 8th, 2024, we lost a beloved member of our community and a close friend.

Those that knew Nancy know that she wouldn’t take crap from anyone and wouldn’t hesitate to tell you how she felt, but she was also one of the kindest people I knew and wouldn't hesitate to take the shirt off her back to help someone out.

Nancy was a long-time/early member of the Recovery Cafe in San Jose, where she dedicated a lot of her time. Nancy’s smile and happy attitude would light up the room when she entered. She often credited the Recovery Cafe staff and community for making such a big impact in her life and for giving her a sense of purpose and belonging.

If you knew Nancy, you knew how much she loved her cats Simon and Dallas, they were her world. Thank you to the Recovery Cafe community for coming together to help re-home Nancy’s babies

Nancy’s passing was sudden and unfortunately she did not have life insurance. We are raising money to help pay for cremation/memorial services.

The first ceremony will be on October 18th.

There will be another ceremony to follow in November at the Recovery Cafe. Details will be provided once formally set.
