Hi everyone! My name is Jillian, I’m creating this on behalf of my momma Nancy. As some of you may know, she has been battling lung cancer for the past three years. The last three years she was back and forth from doctors appointments, chemo, and radiation appointments. She was doing great at managing everything and was able to do things independently.

On Friday 1/26 she suffered an acute life threatening injury. She was transported to baystate around 2am Friday morning by the Agawam paramedics and EMT team.

She was immediately transported up to the ICU at baystate where she spent two days on a ventilator. Throughout the day the doctors were doing everything they could for her. Her blood pressure was unable to be sustained on its own, her kidneys weren’t concentrating, and she wasn’t breathing effectively. After multiple scans, the doctors found her cancer to be more extensive and aggressive than we had initially known. She has stage 4 lung cancer with brain metastases and to other areas in her body.

The doctors believed she suffered from multiple seizures due to the radiation on her brain mets which caused them to swell and inflame, resulting in seizures. Friday night we got the news that she would most likely not make it through the weekend as soon as she was to come off the ventilator.

The next day she was alert and awake, and her body did a full 180. She was recovering from the acute illness and was able to come off the ventilator. A day after, she got transferred out of the ICU where she stayed on a cardiac floor. The plan 1/31 is for her to come home and continue life as normal as possible like before.

We are planning to start her on hospice care due to the prognosis of her cancer, the time is still limited with her. We are asking for any help to pay for her car bill, services, medical bills etc. Anything to help relieve the stress off her shoulders of all these finances. We thank you guys for all of the support. ❤️

I also want to personally thank everyone for the ongoing support and love that I’ve received. Although the news still isn’t the best, I am so grateful to have this bonus time with her. I thank everyone that has reached out and offered support to me, knowing that I have such a great support system around me has helped tremendously. ❤️❤️❤️
