Nancy Haag's (Mom) Cancer Fight

As many of you know, about four years ago my mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.  Upon discovery of the cancer, she immediately underwent a full hysterectomy and started an aggressive chemotherapy treatment.  It was a late-stage cancer (3c) and had spread to other parts of her body.  During her second round of chemo they discovered that she had an allergy to the platinum in the chemotherapy and were forced to adjust her required cancer-fighting treatments. 

In October of this year she was accepted into a clinical trial that utilizes cutting-edge, experimental technology targeting specific genes that are related to her unique cancer growth.  Not only will this treatment help my mom, it also has the potential to help millions of women who have or will have ovarian cancer.  The treatment is administered once a month and could last multiple years.  Nancy has to travel each month from her home in Hawaii to Houston, Texas.  I’m setting up this account to help her transportation costs, which are estimated to exceed $25,000 a year.  She has so much more to do here and we’re not ready to let her go.  Please help with what you can.
