Nancy Olsen's Spinal Tumor Healing Journey

Donation protected
My radiant sister Nancy Olsen received news in December from doctors that she has a sizeable tumor in her cervical spine crowding out her spinal cord in a difficult area to perform surgery. The surgeon agreed to give her 3 months to implement very promising holistic protocols to shrink the tumor in an effort that surgery may not be required.

This is a call to action to raise funds for these holistic protocols and all out-of-pocket medical expenses including surgery if needed, which is not fully covered by insurance. No donation is too small and all contributions are greatly appreciated! Also, please consider sharing Nancy’s story with others.

Nancy had just made a recent move with her husband to start the next chapter in their life when the tumor was found. Her healing has become her full time job and in her words, "it's a lot of work!"

Nancy expresses her deep appreciation for the outpouring of love and support from her family and friends and beyond and I thank you for your kindness and love for Nancy!

With love,
Diane Hunter

Further details:

After over a year of increasing and unusual symptoms, a tumor has been discovered inside Nancy’s cervical spine, directly at the back of her neck. It showed up on the MRI of notable scale and is crowding out her spinal cord. All four neurosurgeons she’s consulted with are surprised that she’s functioning as well as she is with the size of the mass. The doctors all suggest it is a meningioma tumor, which is typically benign and due to the location of the mass being so close to the spinal cord, a biopsy is not feasible.

Her neurosurgeon agreed to her request for a 3-month timeline enabling her to continue her holistic work with the goal to shrink the mass. The team jokingly mentioned that when she’s successful then she’ll need to be a case study for how she did it. Nancy says, "Let's GO!"

Through her communities and with divine help she has found a team of alternative doctors and healers who offer different approaches to shrink the tumor. She will continue on the holistic path while regularly checking in with the neurosurgeons and getting an MRI in 3 months to track progress. She is fully supported by her husband and loved ones to continue on this path. If however, her symptoms get more intense, she will choose surgery and her surgery team is ready for her.
