Nancy Shelley's life threatening illness.

Hi, I am Cathy Mercer and a friend of Nancy and Scott's. I have known them since they were teenagers at our church-The Salvation Army. Scott is employed at the Salvation Army Centre of Hope. He has been doing his best working and caring for Nancy. Nancy has been self-employed providing daycare services for nurses, so no benefits or EI. Nancy has been unable to work for several months due to her overwhelming undiagnosed illness. They have three children. Their son is in his first year of college and their two daughters: one is in high school and the other doing an apprenticeship.

Groceries and prepared meals are needed and bills need to be paid (their house taxes are due). I'm reaching out to anyone who can provide some financial assistance.

It is concerning that Nancy has listed her engagement ring to help with their need.

As of this week, Nancy has been hospitalized with no discharge in sight.
