Hi, my name is Nancy Stinson

I am humbly asking for donations to help me keep my current residence. I have been renting my half duplex for 7 years, paying in excess of $1000. monthly, fully and on time. My current lease expires on December 1, 2022 My landlords who are both older than me are finding it to difficult to continue their ownership. They have decided to sell, but asked me for first consideration. Their asking price is $135,000, the $30,000 would cover a 20% deposit and closing fees. Given my age of 72, I was not sure if I qualified, but a realtor I know said I indeed am. I can afford what I am currently paying in rent, if mortgage, taxes and community dues total did not exceed that figure. I have no car or insurance payment, I use Ocean Ride for transportation at a minimal cost. My expenses are few, other than current rent, utilities, food, medication copays and some personal expenses. I am not looking for bigger or better, just to be able to stay in my humble abode.

Wait lists for senior housing are very long, I applied 8 years ago, but because of Hurricane Sandy, senior subsidized housing in Ocean County is impossible to find. I was grateful then and now to have found affordable space. I only want to stay here.
