Help Nancy Heal and Return to Her Family
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
Nancy Colburn and William Colburn have shared life’s journey together since 1988. Along with our children and beloved grandchildren, Lincoln and Penelope, we are reaching out with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits to ask for your help.
Nancy is Lincoln’s BEST FRIEND—his safe haven, his biggest cheerleader, his world. To know that she may not again hold him, know him, or see him in the same way she did before breaks our hearts. Lincoln misses his “Best Friend” terribly, and we are doing everything we can to bring her back to him.
Recently, we traveled hundreds of miles from home to Rochester, NY, so Nancy could undergo a life-changing procedure—a Deep Brain Stimulator (DBS) surgery. While the surgery itself went as planned, Nancy faced rare and severe complications afterward. What was supposed to be a quick recovery has turned into a fight for her health, her mobility, and her life as we knew it.
Nancy is now on day 17 of neurology care, battling to regain her functions. The road ahead includes months of neurological care and physical therapy, with an estimated recovery time of two to three months. We remain by her side, but the emotional and financial toll of being so far from home is overwhelming.
We’ve started this fund to help cover medical expenses, extended stays near the hospital, therapy, and the support Nancy needs to heal and come home. Every donation, big or small, will make a difference in her journey back to her family and her role as Lincoln’s “Best Friend.”
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generosity, prayers, and love during this incredibly difficult time.
With gratitude,
The Colburn Family
