What we're raising funds for?
We are excited to announce the Naomh Bríd Hurling & Camogie club 24-hour Walkathon, a community event aimed at raising much-needed funds for our beloved clubs. As a cornerstone of our community, we are dedicated to promoting the sport of hurling and camogie whilst fostering a sense of unity, teamwork, and health among our members.
This fundraiser shall serve as our primary fundraiser for the year. As you can imagine, running an amateur hurling/camogie club involves substantial expenses, and your generosity will directly contribute to several critical areas:
Pitch Maintenance:
- Keeping our pitch in top condition, including grass cutting, line marking, and maintenance of goalposts and nets.
Facilities Upkeep:
- Ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for all members, with necessary repairs and upgrades.
Equipment:
- Updating and maintaining training and match day equipment for all our teams
Coaching and Training:
- Supporting the development of our coaches, and bringing in guest coaches to enhance our training programs.
Youth Development:
- Funding camps and workshops to nurture the next generation of hurling and camogie talent
Match Day Expenses:
- Covering medical supplies, physio bills and transport costs to ensure our teams are ready and safe for every game.
Infrastructure Contributions:
- Hurling Wall
- Dressing Rooms
Why is this important?
Across both our clubs, we serve 400 players & members ranging from U6 -> Adult. We are committed to ensuring we provide the best playing experience, that we maximise participation across all areas of both clubs and that we provide facilities we can all be proud of.
