Aug. 2017. Naomi was diagnosed with breast cancer and a mastectomy was performed along with removing 3 lymph nodes. The lymph nodes came back clear and they felt like all the cancer had been removed.
Aug. 2018 - She developed a hacking cough that sometimes produced blood tinged mucus. In Sept. 2018, a CT scan at Bio Medical Center in Tijuana, MX revealed 3 small lesions in her right lung and about a dozen in the left lung, one of which was noticeably bigger. The Doctor there placed her on the Hoxsey protocol and diet. On Dec. 1st, she came down with the flu, which turned into pneumonia. She was recovering well from this and 3 weeks later contracted food poisoning and relapsed back into pneumonia.
Mar. 19th 2019 - A checkup at Bio Medical Center in Tijuana revealed that the largest lesion had doubled in size and now takes up nearly the entire lower lobe of her left lung. The doctor is very concerned about the rapid growth of the lesion and has put her on a more aggressive Hoxsey protocol and wants her to do dendritic cell therapy, intravenous Vitamin C, B17 and possibly an oral chemo pill.
April 8th 2019 – She will be returning to Tijuana for a 10 day stay which will cost approximately $6,000.
Return visits (which may be many) will follow, which will cost approximately $2,000-$3,000 each trip.
They still owe several thousand dollars on her previous procedures, so it would be great if we could help relieve some of the financial load. I would love for her to be able to focus on resting and getting well and not have financial worries!
Ronnie and Naomi have helped so many people in more ways than I can elaborate! Naomi has played in numerous weddings, graduations, etc. and never asked for a dollar. She goes above and beyond for weddings especially, by coming the week before, working with the singers and musicians, charting songs, etc. As a musician, I know how strenuous that can be! And she’s done it for years! Her daughter told me she can remember her loading all 3 of them up in the car when they were small and travelling across the country to play for events! That’s sacrifice folks!! I’ve heard her say many times, “Pay it forward”! And she has done just that. So here’s our chance to give back!
Some have been hesitant to give through a “Go Fund Me” page because they keep a percentage. I get that but…..they only keep 2.9% plus .30 per transaction. If you give $100, that’s $3.20. When you think about writing a check, buying a card, putting a .55 cent stamp on it, you’re probably saving money by giving through “Go Fund Me”. However, if you still wish to send them money through the mail and write an encouraging note in a card, here is the address you will need to mail it to.
