Healthcare for Naomi

Naomi is my fifteen year old sister in law. Recent testing has revealed nodules growing on her thyroid, and a large tumor attached to her pitituary gland that is encroaching on the optic nerve. These growths have been causing severe learning disabilities, extreme weight gain, and muscle pain ever since Naomi was a toddler.  We have just learned in the past month that these growths are at the root of it all. She has private insurance, but it doesn't cover all of the expenses or the cost of travel to healthcare. She has an appointment at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota the 19th of December, but this is creating a financial hardship for her family as there are still many out of pocket expenses. 

Without proper treatment, these growths could cause blindness and potentially be life threatening. They're already creating difficulties in Naomi's life. She can't even brush her hair most days without extreme pain.
