NAPA Intensive Therapy for Brooks Holloway

Hello! My name is Lyric Holloway, mom to sweet Owen Brooks. For those that are familiar with his story, we’re currently raising money to cover his intensive therapy program with NAPA at their Chicago location for late March 2023. Our goal is to be able to have him do 3 therapy sessions per day for the full three weeks. Our insurance does not cover this type of therapy and it is out of state for us. Every dollar raised will go directly to paying for this therapy service and meeting his needs.

NAPA offers specialized therapy programs to children with some of the best techniques & newest technologies that aren’t necessarily offered with traditional therapy. They have a major focus on kiddos with neurological disorders and helping those that are delayed make some major gains. It’s likely that kids will make more progress in those 3 weeks compared to 12 months of traditional therapy.

Brooks was born with a couple conditions that have delayed him meeting some typical milestone. His two main diagnoses are Arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC) and polymicrogyria. AMC is when you’re born with two or more joint contractures. Brooks is affected in both his legs/feet and his arms/hands which has limited function in daily living. So far, he has had 4 surgeries to correct his legs and feet. At the age of 3 he’s still not walking but able to walk with support and his KAFOs. The polymicrogyria is a brain abnormality he was born with which mainly affects his speech, eating, and can account for developmental delay.

Brooks has always been such a happy and hard working kid! We would love more than anything to be able to provide this opportunity to help him some big stride through this intensive therapy program. We just need your help! We truly appreciate any support we can get.
