Naparima College Drama Club Goes to the Toronto Fringe!

The Naparima College Drama Club (NCDC) was miraculously selected, in the first pick, to participate in the Toronto Fringe Festival 2025 in July and are on a mission to prove their school motto are more than just words and they need our help!
The club will be performing their award winning play, 'ALPHA.' Described as a "genius adaptation," of Zeno Constance's popular Caribbean play 'The Ritual,' the cast of students ranging in ages from 12 to 18, will bring their fun and thought provoking piece to the eager audiences of the Fringe.
Founded in 1947, the Club has been a staple in the Secondary Schools Theatre landscape of Trinidad and Tobago; accumulating along the way numerous accolades such as Outstanding Production, Best Director, Outstanding Actor, Best Set and Best Musical accompaniment, just to name a few. This year alone they collected a whopping SEVENTEEN (17) awards for the same piece, 'ALPHA,' at the Secondary Schools' Drama Festival.
Helmed by their dynamic and ever capable Theatre Arts teacher and director, Mrs. Jeanelle Archer-Chan, (an exceptional actor, director and vocalist in her own right), the club is seeking to raise $45,000 CAD, to help offset the costs associated with their travel, two weeks of boarding in Toronto and the mounting of their show.
The individual cost for each student is $3,789.56 CAD
So why should you donate?
Well, NCDC represents "All ah we!!"
Not just San Fernando, or Trinidad and Tobago, or even the Caribbean and the diaspora! They represent all of us in this big world! All of us who ever wanted to follow a passion and a dream and do something fantastic!

We encourage you to donate to our fundraiser and help facilitate the continued expansion of our youth. Feel free to reach out if you are able to assist with transportation, catering and other on the ground logistics in Toronto or even Trinidad.
