Napoleon Civic Center for Kenneth Neuenschwander
Donation protected
Kenneth (Ken) Neuenschwander, "N", was the founder behind the Napoleon Civic Center. He believed that everyone should have access to enjoy the performing arts, music, and entertainment. We lost Ken too soon to health complications, but Ken's family wants his legacy to live on through the fruition of his mission behind the Napoleon Civic Center. In the last chapters of his life, he was organizing fundraisers, creating committees, and pleading for the community to back this project. He saw the need to preserve this valuable center, the enormous potential that it could offer for the community and for supporting the performing arts. We are asking that if you were lucky to be in any of Ken's performances over his 30 years of directing, lucky enough to have him as an educator/mentor, or simply love the performing arts, please give to this cause. It would mean so much to his family to see Napoleon Civic Center thrive! Ken's family has chosen the Napoleon Civic Center as his memorial. COVID 19 has robbed us of the opportunity to give him the "final performance" or fundraiser/memorial that he deserves given all of his efforts for the community. We ask that you donate what you are able to this cause so close to his heart!
John L. Johnson Auditorium in Central Middle School was set for demolition, however the Napoleon Civic Center purchased the facility. The goal is to renovate the building into a community center and performing arts venue for the residents of Henry County and the surrounding area while preserving the historical tradition of the building. They rely on donors to help establish the state of the art entertainment, and recreation community center that will include reception hall space, meeting rooms, a visual and performing arts auditorium, gymnasium, community room, and much more. The Center would serve as a central gathering place for the residents of Henry County and community organizations. In order for this project to be complete, 1.3 million dollars needs to be raised in totality. Many community businesses will back the project, however they need this first boost of donations to take it to the next level.
With thankful hearts and deep appreciation, we (Ken's family) know that if this project can be executed with your help that it would allow his legacy to live on through meaningful connections in the community that he so loved!
Thank you again for your consideration!
Sincerely,
Charlene, Amy, Jennifer and Laura
