Help us save Ling!

Tax deductible
We have joined in to help one of our AMAZING volunteers Mary Antonucci who also takes care of feral colony cats in trying to save one of her to sweet for the street colony kittens Ling...........

Ling is a four month old kitten rescued from a colony in Baltimore City. During a routine veterinary exam, to treat an upper respiratory infection, it was discovered that Ling has severe heart disease. She was diagnosed with a large Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), which is a heart defect that occurs when that part of the heart fails to close down at birth. This is a serious condition and devastating news to receive. The vet said she could go into Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)  at any time, and without surgery, she will die within a year.

We are trying our best to save this sweet baby who likes to play with her brother and sister and will cuddle up for naps with her foster mom. We
are in need of donations to cover the cost of a trip to the cardiologist for an echo cardiogram to determine whether or not she's strong enough for surgery. If she is, we'll be reaching out to teaching veterinary hospitals in the region to see if they will perform the surgery. This is an uncommon condition and there isn't anyone locally who can treat it aggressively.

We need to raise $650 to cover this appointment and procedure.
