Naquin Family Adoption

Donation protected
Our children's story is not ours to tell. It belongs to them. While we cannot give out many details about the situation, we will do our best to be transparent while protecting them.

In February of 2019, Courtney and I were spending time with an old friend of mine with her two children. We could see an obvious need to speak up. A simple offer of raising the kids if she ever found herself unable to was made. Within 24 hours, we were scrambling to put the logistics together.

The original plan was to slowly transition the kids by having sleepovers on the weekends and move them in completely that summer. The transition process failed epically for all parties involved, and the kids made it obvious that they wanted a permanent spot in our home.

On April 5th, 2019, Brother (8) and Sister (5) moved in! Quickly, we had to adjust from being newly weds, to weekend parents, to full-time parents. AND WE COULDN'T BE HAPPIER! Brother and Sister have thrived in our home, attending school with family members and friends to surround them in love and support. Both kids have grown into their personalities and are constantly growing as people. Sister is sassy, smart, and so empathetic! She wants to be a vet and an astronaut when she grows up. Brother is logical, calculated, intelligent, and the FUNNIEST kid you'll ever meet! He wants to be a police officer or an engineer when he grows up.

Our provisional custody agreement has expired, and it's time to officially give them the Naquin name!

In order to finish this process, we are raising money for:
- the adoption lawyer
- home study (the process of the social worker saying we're a safe home)
- court fees
- termination of parental rights

The kids helped come up with the perfect way to remember all of the people who help us!

Every family/person that donates will have their name written on the back of a puzzle piece. Once the puzzle is completed, it will be placed in a shadow box frame and hung in their room! You are helping us piece our family together forever!

(Not our picture, but a visual so you can see that your name will forever be displayed in our home)

The courts are finally opened again, and the kids are anxious to finally have their "Adoption Day!" Thank you to everyone who has been with us during this journey and continues to be supportive as we raise these tiny humans!

Love,
Courtney, Brittany, Brother, and Sister
