Nashoba First Robotics 2018-2019
Tax deductible
We are the RoboChiefs of Nashoba Regional High School, a highly motivated group of high school students and adult mentors competing in the worldwide FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Each year, we design, build and program a sophisticated machine and compete against hundreds of teams in FRC’s New England District.
Our goal is to give dedicated students the opportunity to grow into America’s future science, engineering and technology leaders. We provide an amazing real-world experience that students cannot hope to get in a classroom. For many students, the FIRST experience is life-changing. The RoboChiefs prepare kids technically, learning Computer Aided Design (CAD), mechanism design, control programming design, sensor integration, prototyping, meta fabrication techniques and much more. We prepare them with real project management skills as well as preparing them to be good teammates and strong leaders by immersing them in a culture of hard work and dedication, and to compete intensely but with gracious professionalism. Nearly every one of our students goes on to college to major in engineering or computer science. The team's website is located here

The team has had an excellent season, making it to the finals and earning the coveted Quality Award in three district qualifying tournaments. This past weekend, they made it to the quarterfinals at the New England District Championships hosted by Worcester Polytechnic Institute, qualifying them to attend the World Championships in Detroit, MI April 24th-27th.
The team is very excited to have made it in to the World Championships, but now is faced with the daunting task of raising the funds needed to cover the cost of World Championship participation. This includes a $5000 entry fee as well as transportation the team and their equipment to and from Detroit, hotel accommodations and meals. Any and all financial assistance from the greater community or local businesses would be greatly appreciated and is tax deductible. Please consider supporting the team to help them to participate in this unique opportunity. You can easily make a donation through the GoFundMe website or mail a check directly to Nashoba Robotics, PO Box 322, Bolton, MA 01740.
Thanks in advance for supporting their fundraising efforts. Go Robochiefs!!
