Nasser's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On the evening of Saturday, December 17th, Nasser was on his way back home from a Christmas party when his vehicle was struck by a drunk driver. He was in the back seat of a Lyft vehicle when the reckless driver t-boned him on the rear-left passenger side where he was sitting. Nasser took the worst of it while the other passengers had much less severe injuries and are okay.
Nasser woke up the next day at Cedar Sinai hospital with 4 broken ribs, minor fractured vertabrae, moderate to severe damage to his left eye, and plenty of bumps, scratches and bruises. The impact was so intense, he was knocked completely unconscious and has no recollection of the accident.
While we think that Nasser will heal from most of his injuries, it might take months before he can get back to the gym and train his clients again. Boxing training is Nasser's passion and only source of income, and he was no where near financially prepared for an event like this.
Your generosity will save Nasser from a real financial hardship. While he has basic health coverage that we think will pay most of the medical bills (we hope), he will need time to get back on his feet again. It will allow him to focus on healing without being overwhelmed by bills he will be unable to pay because of this awful accident.
This picture was taken at the party just before he left to go home that night. Nasser is an amazing person, he is a loyal friend with a great heart. If you've ever been to City of Angels boxing gym, you've most likely seen him training clients and helping out. We hope that if he has ever made a positive impact in your life in any way that you can help him during this hard time with a donation of any size. He would thank you more than you can understand.
The money will be used to pay any out of pocket medical or recovery expenses, rent/lease obligations, and living expenses for the next 4-5 months.
You can also help by sharing this campaign or say a prayer for him that he recovers without any permanent damage to his eye or anywhere else.
If you want to visit Nasser, he is at Cedar Sinai North Tower room 7024 from 9am - 9pm.
