Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Supporters,
I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a humble request for your support during one of the most challenging times of my life.
On the night of August 18, I was fully prepared to meet that special person... but my life took an unexpected turn when I passed out in my bathroom and remained unconscious for over 12 hours in my bathtub. As my mom wisely said, "Even when we feel alone, God always puts people on our path with a purpose in our lives." It was during this challenging time that my roommate found me and promptly called for an ambulance to rush me to the hospital.
In those critical moments, dedicated medical professionals had to resuscitate me, and I subsequently underwent two critical surgeries to regain mobility in my left leg. While I have made some progress, there is still a long road to recovery ahead.
The physical and emotional toll of this journey has been immense, but I am fueled by an unwavering determination to walk again without a cane and return to my cherished home in Colombia. The road to recovery can be daunting, both emotionally and financially. Medical bills, treatments, and the cost of back home spiral out of control. Yet, I refuse to let this situation define me. Instead, I choose to define it by the way I respond, with courage, optimism, and an unwavering determination to get through it.
