Help Natalie Heal

In March of 2017, at the age of 22, Natalie gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Unfortunately, there were traumatic complications just after the birth which necessitated a blood transfusion. After giving birth, Natalie never recovered and for the past two years, she has struggled daily with numerous different symptoms. She has been to several doctors and has had thousands of dollars of extensive testing. Finally, after over a year, three infections were discovered. Unfortunately, because these had gone undiscovered for so long, they damaged other areas in her body, including her brain. Natalie has made significant progress in fighting the infections and repairing the damaged organs and glands, but her neurological symptoms have continued to be the most problematic.
Natalie has had extreme neurological symptoms and struggles with brain inflammation. Some of the symptoms she has suffered from are the following: light sensitivity, visual and auditory sensory overload, delayed comprehension, impaired balance, insomnia, vision issues, headaches lasting for weeks, dizziness, tremoring, extreme fatigue, brain fog, and many more. Natalie has also experienced five seizure-like episodes in which she could not talk, was temporarily paralyzed in her limbs, and struggled to figure out how to walk for days afterwards. Some of these episodes have sent her to the emergency room.
After the first year of illness, Natalie's health declined to where she could no longer work or drive, and struggled even more to be in public places, like the grocery store. A few times she had to be retrieved; she could not get back home on her own. She has missed family events and holidays, and regularly needs daily assistance from family, to take care of herself and her daughter while her husband works.
Over the past few months, Natalie has been in neurological rehab and has made encouraging progress in which she can sometimes drive (after a year) and can now tolerate being in public more, but she is still housebound the majority of the time. What has now become clear is that for Natalie to further progress and gain full recovery, she needs additional help from outside the state of Colorado. Natalie has been accepted into a Brain-SAVE boot camp in California with a doctor who is a leader in the field of Functional Neurology. At these immersive boot camps, they offer the latest in neurological treatments including oxygen therapy to fuel brain cells, laser therapy to decrease neuro-inflammation, personalized eye exercises, sound therapy, infrared sauna sessions to enhance detoxification and brain circulation, and more.
To date, Natalie and her husband Gunnison have spent $30,000+ in OUT OF POCKET medical costs just to get her where she is. The brain rehab clinic that Natalie would like to go to comes with a cost that is not covered by insurance. They are now in need of financial help. The cost for the 5-day camp is $6,500. The 10-day camp is approximately $12,000. Natalie will not know if she needs the 5 or 10-day camp until the doctor can evaluate her in person. The cost of the camp does not take into consideration transportation, food, and accommodations, as well as extra brain health supplements and testing the doctor might order.
Natalie is looking forward to a healthy, fulfilling life and to finally experience being a mom without the severe impairment, limitations, and daily struggles of being ill. We need your help to get her there! Please consider donating money to #helpNatalieheal. ANY contribution is greatly appreciated and will go toward helping Natalie regain her health and her life!
