Help Nate Fight Cancer

My name is Stephanie and It's with a heavy heart that I share some challenging news about my brother-in-law, Nate Maudlin. In May 2023, Nate was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. After consulting with local oncologists and GI specialists, it was decided that he and his wife Megan should seek more comprehensive testing and treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. During his initial appointment, it was discovered that Nate has Lynch Syndrome, an inherited cancer syndrome associated with a genetic predisposition to multiple types of cancer. This means he will need screenings for different types of cancers annually. Liam will also require genetic testing in Baton Rouge to determine if he inherited Lynch Syndrome. As they prepare for upcoming appointments, the financial burden of travel, boarding their two dogs, and medical bills has grown significantly.
