I can still remember the day, I was 8 years old and in the second grade. My dad pulled me and my older brother Jonathan out of school and we were on our way to Pomona Valley Hospital. When I got there in my mom's room I didn't realize it then, but I was looking straight at an angel. My baby sister Nathaly was born, or as you may know her by Nat, Naty or Monchis. Immediately I knew that I would love her forever. As she grew older so did our love for her. Never a dull moment with my little Nat. So many funny and loving memories with her.Nathaly was all about the Fam. And our family was all about Nat. She was the center of our world. She was the life of the party and always happy with her contagious, genuine laugh. If you know Nat you know she is the GOAT. She loves volleyball she's loved it ever since she was cheering me on at my games when I played at Garey. Garey Volleyball was her pride and joy. If you ever played with her you know she was a fierce competitor, a supportive teammate and a great leader. I was lucky and extremely fortunate to create so many memories because I was also her coach. We laughed, we cried, we disagreed, we won and lost but we did everything together. And if you ever met her at Garey you knew she was just an amazing human, the bestest friend, most stubborn but loving person ever.
As soon as Nat graduated High School she was diagnosed with an aggressive kind of brain tumor and it hit our family hard. But Nat attacked it head on with no fear! Giving our family the strength it needed to help her face this cancer. Nathaly never complained and never stopped fighting. It was the bravest thing I had ever seen. She is my inspiration and our family was extremely proud of her. After 2 years of fighting, it was time to rest. Our angel is now in heaven and with a heavy heart I write these words over and over never finding the right ones that explain all the right things, but Nathaly fought hard and now has found peace. She touched so many hearts and inspired so many people, she is our fire and will forever be in our minds. We will always love and remember you Nathaly.
