Nathan Bishop and Amanda Arra need your help

This is Nancy and Doug Peel. Amanda and Nathan’s house was one of the houses damaged and condemned after the recent Mendenhall River flood. They lost almost 150 feet of their lot and the ground has washed out from under their house. Nathan has Parkinson’s and has had to move into the assisted care facility at Riverview as of May. He has lived in Juneau his entire life and built their home. After making Juneau her home for the last 30 years, Amanda is in the process of losing her home as well as her husband. They have a 20 year old son, Adam who is a student at UAF. It is unclear what insurance will cover if anything but her expenses are not only for the damage to the house but also for her husband’s care. I was once the recipient of caring donations from this community which enabled my family to live here. Amanda and Nathan were a key part of the efforts to support us.
