In honor of Nathan Carroll this fundraiser is intended to support his family through funeral planning, memorial, and related or unexpected costs.

Nathan had the hugest heart and losing him is a loss for the world. It is devastating to his partner and to his whole family unit. His love and care for the animals in his life was inspirational (and often hilarious) as his family adopted a mishmash of amazing creatures!

We were lucky to love and be loved by this man. Thank you to everyone’s show of support and care during this time.

Funeral service arrangements are currently underway and date/time/location will be released very soon!

The minimum cost, out of pocket, for casket+funeral+burial is 2000$ (with subsidy). If the subsidy is denied the total cost will be double, totalling 4000$.

Whether we have personal experiences with loss or not -I’m sure we can still imagine how massive the undertaking of planning a funeral can be. There are many emotional, logistical, bureaucratic, and financial hurdles that come up - happening exactly in heart of the hardest moments to handle hurdles of any kind.

We chose our goal as a number to shoot towards and not a declaration of the minimum amount needed.

Any additional funds on top of burial costs are going to go to Ivy and her children to help ease financial stress as they grieve through this terrible and sudden loss. We all know money doesn’t buy happiness but it is an act of care that offers bit of peace and freedom.

No person should experience such pain and loss and without a doubt they should never travel paths of grief alone and unsupported.

I can only imagine the daunting feeling of the road ahead that Nathan’s family and close friends are experiencing - but I CAN imagine all of us walking alongside with our candles of hope and love illuminating their path and warming their world however we can.. ️ ✨
