Nathan Foltz Accident and Medical Expenses
Jon and Marisa Foltz's son Nathan was involved in a bad accident while playing at a pool while they were on vacation in southern Thailand. When they took him to hospital on the island the Doctors said his injuries were too severe to be treated at a smaller hospital. They took him on an emergency ferry and then assessed that he needed to be taken to a trauma hospital in Bangkok.
The Foltz family will have a lot of unexpected financial needs over the next couple of weeks- medical bills, hotel costs (staying for at least a week+), eating out, and other things.
If you would prefer to give directly to their CRU account you can also do that. Here is that link:

Here are some updates from Marisa in chronological order:
Nathan had an accident today on a slide at a swimming pool. We were on vacation on an island. He fell quite a ways and hit in between his legs and bled a lot. We rushed him to the Hospital on the island and he has a bad open cut. Jon went with him in an ambulance and then onto a speedboat and I drove separately onto the ferry to go back to the mainland.
We are now in Trat at the hospital. His pelvis is fractured. The CT scan showed no internal bleeding. We are going to go to Bangkok to a Hospital with a trauma center for surgery. It’s a 4 hour drive. Since Bangkok is a red zone and they are in lockdown we had to get him a Covid test to go into Bangkok. So we are waiting for the results. Praying we can get them by 2am and then we can drive to Bangkok for surgery later in the morning.
Please pray wisdom for all the doctors involved and that we can get the Covid results quickly and get to Bangkok. We are pretty shook up and scared. It’s so hard to see your babies when they are hurting.

Update on Nathan:
THANK YOU for all your prayers - we really feel the body of Christ uplifting us and makes us so emotional.
We made it to Bangkok quickly and safely!
We are in ICU and just talked to the head general surgeon at Bangkok Hospital Trauma Center. Such good news! We are crying. At this point they are thinking maybe no surgery!
Right now a pediatric doctor is watching him and then three different specialists will come to examine him.
They want to keep him overnight in ICU but then tomorrow they think he can move to a regular room with us!
PRAISING HIM!!!

He is going to have surgery at 1:00pm (in about 1 hour). They want to make sure they got all the air pockets and do a preventative cleaning of the inside wounds. And they will do a scope. Please pray for steady doctors and for insight for them. And peace for Jon & I.
So grateful for your prayers!

Nathan is out of surgery!!! Just talked to the doctors and it went well. He had to repair the sphincter muscle. When they went in with the scope his rectum and large intestine looked good and there was no damage!!
Thank you so much for praying! We have been so amazed by the power of people praying all around the world!
We will have a hard recovery ahead … but we are just so relieved to be through the surgery!
