Nathan Silveira’s Eagle Service Project

Hello, my name is Nathan Silveira from Troop 389 in Yuba City and I am working to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. I am fundraising here for my Eagle Scout Service Project. My Eagle Project serves to make a lasting impact for the homeless community in my local Yuba-Sutter area. I am working through the Adventist Health + Rideout Community Outreach Street Medicine Program in order to provide backpacks that will help make life better for their clients. In my packs, I plan on providing a tent, sleeping bag, cold weather accessories (hats, gloves, socks), self-care items (soap, hair care, deodorant, hand sanitizer, oral care, etc.), a reusable water bottle and basic first aid. In addition, I’m including a laminated resource card that includes specific information on local food resources. My goal is to provide 25 of these packs. I believe this need becomes more important as we head into winter weather, which is why my plan is to distribute my packs around Thanksgiving. Please help me meet my goal for this project if you can.
