Nathan Washchuk Funeral and Medical Expenses

Donation protected
This fundraiser is in memory of 16-month-old Nathan Washchuk who died on April 1, 2024, after a tragic accident while on vacation in Florida. Following the accident, Nathan needed to be transported to a major hospital where trauma teams worked to save him. All funds raised will be used to cover hospital, transportation, and funeral expenses.

Nathan is survived by his parents, Kimberly and John Washchuk and sister Genevieve, and by a large and loving circle of family and friends. We are devastated by his loss.

Anything you can contribute is so greatly appreciated. Please share this request with your social media circles.

Update April 2, 2024 - A Message from Kim and John:
The only reason I’m able to post this is because I’ve gone completely numb. It’s both a blessing and a curse, and it confuses the hell out of me. The world no longer feels real without him. Please know that I’ve been reading every single message, comment and text. I’ve seen all the prayers, donations and outpouring love and I’m utterly shocked by how many people have reached out in some way to help our family. I am in extreme awe over all of this and I really don’t know what to say…I could go into a full on novel over everything I felt for my son, but for now I’ll just say I love you Nathaniel Hudson Washchuk. You will forever be in our hearts, in our minds and part of our lives.

Funeral Information: Nathan will lie in state at Kaul's Funeral Home in Roseville, Michigan, on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 3 pm until 8 pm. The funeral Mass will be at St. Joan of Arc Church in St. Clair Shores on Thursday, April 11, 2024 with in-state at 10 am and the funeral Mass at 11 am.

Obituary: Our cherished baby boy, Nathaniel Hudson Washchuk, given to us on November 11, 2022, had his life end too soon, April 1, 2024. Our family was not prepared to lose our precious baby so soon, but we are eternally grateful for the time we had with him here on this earth. We will remember every smile, giggle, cuddle, and hug. He is, forever, our sweet baby boy.

Nathaniel is survived by his parents, Kimberly (Wineski) and John Washchuk and big sister Genevieve. He is also survived by his grandparents, Jeanne and Larry Wineski, and Ronald and Evelyn Washchuk, and his many aunts, uncles and cousins.
