You can put a pause on a community, but the soul of that community will keep marching on.
In Toledo right now, our families, friends, neighbors, and co-workers are all on “pause”, but our spirit of perseverance, gratitude, hope, and community continue to grow exponentially during this difficult time.
As a photographer myself, it is my job to capture the love, joy, and cheer of families just like yours. Despite the hardships our community is facing right now, I want to continue to capture and share the spirit and brightness of our local community as we push through in these tough times.
Starting today, I am taking 5 minute "Front Steps Portraits" of Toledo residents. After our quick session, I will email you the digital file of your portrait. In exchange, I am asking you to make a good faith donation to the United Way of Greater Toledo . I will be posting these images on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #TOLFrontStepsProject
The “why”. This project is to keep our community together and in high spirits, even in our days of isolation and quarantine. The goal of this is to highlight the faces of our community, especially during this time when seeing the faces we normally see on a day-to-day basis is extremely limited. Participating in this project is also an opportunity to step up to help those who need it most right now in Toledo.
The “how”. I will only be taking photos outside and from at least 10 feet away from you and your family. Our session will be very brief, typically around 5 minutes. This photoshoot is about you and your family, so feel free to dress up, dress down, be goofy, do something crazy, whatever you want. Just be authentic to who you are!
The “what”. In exchange for the digital file of your family portrait, I ask you to make a good faith donation to the United Way of Greater Toledo . Suggested donation is $50 but any amount is appreciated.
The United Way of Greater Toledo is collecting donations to support the rising of needs of our community. Their Emergency Response fund will help continue necessary services, like meal assistance.
If you love the idea but you’re not interested in photos, please consider donating anyways to support our local Toledo community!
