Nathen Taylor, Jr.
Donation protected
Hello all,
Never had to do one of these, much less come up with the appropriate words to convey to the public. As a lot of you have heard, the tragic explosion accident that happened on the evening of 8/22/23 involved a young man, 18, little Nathen Taylor, Jr. (Lil’ Nate) A very caring, handsome, extremely funny, driven boy who had a goal in mind, and wanted nothing more this night than to begin his time fulfilling it. A young man trying to do the right thing, who didn’t deserve to be taken so soon. Family members and loved ones would’ve never dreamt this horrific tragedy, let alone have been prepared for it. Service details are unable to be provided at this very moment, but I’m in direct contact with those who will be handling and oversee this account. I have spoken to the funeral home of choice for the general breakdown in prices as well. Please note, I will personally share all memorial details when concrete - so any loved ones are notified in advance. I know the other Family members will too. He is currently still at the hospital, as he was a signed donor. Nobody wants to face these sorts of decisions, but it must be done. Unfortunately, in a timely manner. The worst part of life is realizing that it has to go on, doesn’t stop for anyone. But, to see a child lose his life- in such an unnecessary way- is a different kind of hurt. Watching my Family have to make heart shattering decisions when still in shock was enough for me to start this process for them. As most of us have had to find out by now, services no matter what path taken, is costly. This beautiful young man was just beginning his life, if love could equal insurance coverage, I know he would’ve been set. It’s unfortunate to have to turn to Family and friends, the public in general - but I’m willing to do what is needed for those I dearly love. I have set a minimal standard goal, based on the information given to me thus far - and will monitor where the support takes them during process. God willing, once the appropriate goal has been reached, it will be closed. The Family is not here for a handout, just giving a little boy the rest he deserves to receive. I’m learning as I go with this, please bare with me. One way or another, we will get Lil’ Nate the proper ‘see you again someday’ he very much deserves. To those who will donate, from the bottom of my/our heart(s) - thank you in advance. To those who are unable, there is a certain power in numbers when it comes to Prayer, good vibes, peaceful thoughts… and the Family could use an abundance of that. Going into this, if there are any additional GoFundMe(s) set up- all I ask is that you do your research. Always stay mindful, know who you’re donating to, what it’s in regard to, and ask questions if needed. Please feel free to message me or Tina Taylor with any and all concern. I’m so sorry to all of Nate’s loved ones, my Prayers are with you. Thank you all for your time. ️
