National Black Child Development Inst. Fundraiser
Tax deductible
The Raven’s Claw society of Dickinson College, founded in 1896, selects 7 male seniors every year based on leadership and the ability to positively impact our campus community. Our brotherhood denounces racism and hate in all forms. We stand united behind our core values of respect and friendship and as always we are committed to making a difference.
Towards that goal, we want to put action behind our words. Our goal is to raise $20,000 to donate directly to the National Black Child Development Institute ($10,000 from Ravens Claw Members & $10,000 from other contributors). The NBCDI state’s "Quality programs for Black children must incorporate factors that ensure esteem and respect for oneself and one's heritage."
The NBCDI was chosen from several very worthy causes by a group of concerned and caring Raven’s Claw alums. We recognize the importance of education and respect what the NBCDI is pursuing.
Our 7 new Raven’s Claw members are all current student-athletes and want to challenge their respective teams and other members of the Dickinson community to step up and contribute to this worthy cause as well. We challenge each Dickinson team to raise additional money and help us make a difference in the education of black children. The goal is to have all of our funds raised by June 24th so we can collectively make the donation toward NBCDI.
This is not limited to our financial contributions, and as leaders of the Dickinson community, we will continue to call and ask for your help in fostering a community that actively promotes the advancement, education, and equality of the Black Community.
Thank you for your contribution,
