National Concert Band Festival Trip
Donation protected
The Legacy High School Wind Symphony has been selected to perform at the Music For All National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis, IN performing on the Featured Stage. Out of a record year of nation wide submissions, our Wind Symphony was one of the top sixteen bands chosen to be featured at this festival. The festival takes place during spring break, March 14-17.
Any and all funds raised will help the students attend the festival. This is different from a normal band trip in that all of our top players must attend in order to have a great performance and represent our school, city, and state at the level in which it deserves. We can't leave behind an amazing player due to financial difficulty, just as if a football team were to travel to play a game it would need all of its starting quarterback regardless of their ability to afford the trip.
The trip is $1200 per student. For that money they will receive airfare to and from Indianapolis, lodging and food while at the festival, and performance and educational experiences from world class band directors, music instructors, and clinicians. Students will perform for a packed auditorium of students and educators who appreciate their work and dedication. It will be an amazing experience for all students who attend.
$1200 is a lot of money for some of our families to come up with, so I am asking for help to offset some of the cost for our families. The support for the band program is much appreciated, and the students will see how grateful you are to have them perform every Friday night at the football games, the community parades, pep rallies, and the events we attend to expound our school spirit. Now WE NEED YOU to help us out.
Any and all donations are much appreciated and will help our band program continue in excellence!
