Just a few hours earlier on Monday night, July Fourth, Naftoli “Nat” Rosner was davening “Praying” Maariv/Arvit from the amud because two weeks ago his father passed away and nine months earlier he lost his mother as well. It was a shock to us all that this past Monday night Nat had a sudden heart attack ending his life at the young age of 54. The grief is palpable. A beautiful family consisting of a wife and three young children suddenly find themselves bereft of their husband and father. We, the Rabbonim “Spiritual leaders” of the community have taken it upon ourselves to help the family in any which way we can. Nat was a Bal Chesed “a man of true kindness. Despite having financial difficulties he went above and beyond and dedicated his time to provide help for others in any way he could. Nat installed windows for a living and would install windows for those who could not afford it by himself and would not charge for his labor. Nat was an active member of the community synagogue “Cong Adath Jeshuren” in the Flatbush community and was always smiling and outgoing and made every person feel comfortable around him. With a joke and a smile that was Nats way.

With sobbing hearts we beseech the greater Brooklyn community and to the community at large to come together in this time of tragedy. As it was, Naftoli worked very hard barely covering his monthly expenses, without ever revealing to anyone how difficult his financial situation was.

Now, with the breadwinner of the family gone, they have no way of keeping food on the table or a roof over their heads. Who will pay July's mortgage? Where will the tuition payments come from? We need to start a fund to cover the bare necessities.

This is too much stress for the grieving widow to handle alone. Yesterday (Wednesday, July 6, 2016) was the tearful Levaya. This week she is sitting Shiva along with her three children. But the mourning process is not over so quickly when a husband/father in the prime of his life is suddenly without any warning or medical condition suddenly ripped away. Let us do our part in helping their broken hearts heal as we open our generous hearts now to the desperate plight of a widow and orphans.

May the Father of Orphans and the Judge of Widows look down upon the kindness of our nation and act kindly with us in turn.

Please post to all your friends so we can reach our goal and help the family

We should be blessed to see salvation in our time,
