Community Blessing Bags

Donation protected

Today I was at Dollar Tree... and there was a homeless man sleeping on the sidewalk... not bothering a soul, not asking for money. I fed him (a lunchable, chips, a V8 Blast and water). I make my way to Walmart- and there was a homeless vet on the corner with his little dog. I fed him (and his doggy). I’m not telling this story to brag at all- I’m telling it because my heart aches for those who sleep outside, in the elements... for those who have to skip meals... for those who haven’t gotten to take a shower in God only knows how long. They are people who deserve love and acceptance and someone to lend a hand, even if just once.

Have you ever pulled up to the corner and wanted to help but couldn’t right in the moment? Or you wanted to help but didn’t want to give them cash cause you have your own beliefs about what helps and what doesn’t?

I get it.

Some of us are struggling to survive in the pandemic ourselves. There are others struggling more.

And yes, some people are not honest and it’s hard to tell who truly needs the help.

I want to create Blessing Bags. These bags would include a bottle of water, a granola bar, a bag of crackers, and some sort of fruit cup (spoon included as well). I spent $40 today and that will yield me 40 blessing bags. $1 PER BAG! To make someone feel loved....

My goal is to raise $200 to make 200 blessing bags and hand them out to our community who so desperately need it.

pleaee please consider donating- even $1 to help my project! I’ll show receipts and banking documents. I’m more than willing to have full transparency!
