Fund the building of a Navajo Hogan
Donation protected
Please help support and help Navajo cultural tradition continue....this is a two family effort, helping to raise money to fund the cost of materials to finish a home and ceremonial structure that will support our friends and family on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. The Jarvis/Rolfing and Hunter families grew up together and are coming together again through the building of a hogan.
The project began in May and has up to this point been funded by close friends and relatives. Financial resources are limited on this part of the Reservation and we are working to finish this hogan by December, so that it may be a living space for family members from the Hunter family as well as a ceremonial space to help continue cultural tradition and healing.
We have put on part of the roofing, but some of the remaining materials include, side panelling, roofing materials, gutters, the door jam and hinges, drywall for the inside, hardware, funding to pay a local skilled worker, gas money for the family to get to and from the buiding site, and other various basics. Work up to this point has been mainly on a volunteer basis by friends and family.
We would be so grateful for any contribution that could be offered. A little can go a very long way here.
