About the Team:

The Naval Academy Parachute Team, an Extra Curricular Activity (ECA), is comprised of around 30 midshipmen who devote their free time to competing in parachuting competitions and executing local parachute demonstrations. As an ECA, they receive no government funding and rely entirely on generous donors to fund their equipment and training.

Why Support:

This spring, a full-time coach will be moving to Annapolis to run the team, organizing professional training plans and real-time coaching. The team aims to compete against the U.S. Air Force Academy and West Point’s parachute teams. Your contribution will go directly towards:

5-6 Demo Rigs for midshipmen to execute public parachute demonstrations

Containers: Javelin Odyssey

Main: PD Lightnings

Reserve: PDRs

AAD: Vigil

Background:

The midshipmen on the team are future officers in the Navy and Marine Corps, dedicating part of their efforts at the institution to the sport of parachuting. As an ECA, they face the challenge of no government funding, requiring them to cover expenses out of pocket for gear, jump tickets, and travel costs.

Fundraising Goal:

This fundraiser specifically aims to support the purchase of Demo-specific rigs as the team's qualified jumpers begin training for public demonstrations on the Naval Academy grounds. Your contribution will help the team progress in competitions and execute parachute demonstrations.
