Navillus Christmas Food Appeal
Tax deductible
Dear Friends & Colleagues,
As the holiday season approaches, we find ourselves in the midst of a global pandemic, a scary and unprecedented time that has affected us all both emotionally and financially. As you know, some have felt the hardships and burdens brought on and heightened by the current circumstances more than others, and with the winter months ahead, these challenges will only worsen for many of our fellow New Yorkers.
Social responsibility is one of the core values of Navillus and its employees. We believe in the importance of giving back to our communities and helping those in need. Today, 1.1 million New Yorkers are facing hunger, including one in five children, and these numbers are rising (Food Bank for NYC). Many rely on soup kitchens and food pantries just to make ends meet, but many of these providers struggle to keep up with the need, particularly in times like these. In partnership with Food Bank for New York City, Navillus is hoping to help as many New Yorkers as we can this Holiday Season but we need your help.
On December 1, 2020 Navillus will be launching a food drive which will continue through December 21, 2020. Navillus will be accepting both food and monetary donations. Nonperishable food can be donated at 633 3rd Avenue, New York, NY as well as numerous construction sites where Navillus is working. Donation boxes will be provided at these locations. Monetary donations can be made here. The GoFundMe page will be transparent where everyone can follow the progress of the appeal in real time. Please note we cannot accept cash in person. According to the Food Bank for NYC, a donation of $1 helps provide 5 meals. Navillus will match all monetary donations up to our fundraising goal of $20,000.
Help us make a difference this Christmas.
