Hi! Hello! Greetings!
My name is Nayt (Nyx online).
I'm a trans masc nonbinary canadian.
I started this GoFundMe as I have my top surgery appointment coming up on June 21!
I received my phone call from my surgeons office on the 12th of this month informing me that another person had a cancellation so I was offered the slot and knowing the current state of how long of a wait it is for top surgery, I jumped on the opportunity!
The only issue is; expenses. ಥ_ಥ
My partner and I have tried our best to prepare as much as we could, but did not anticipate my surgery happening so soon, as a result we are woefully unprepared.
Luckily we had a little saved up that will cover the expenses for the hotel and a gas fare to Red Deer (huge thanks goes out to my sister who is driving us! I'm unbelievably grateful to her!)
Besides that we are lacking the funds to get much needed recovery items like a macestomy pillow, sanitary wipes, ice packs, plus a few others items (will provide a list at the end of this) since we still need to pay our bills/rent for this month.
If you or anyone you know would be willing to donate, I would be very grateful to you! Any help is greatly appreciated!
The list of items we still need to buy is as listed below (with prices)
- $60 CAD for a macestomy pillow
- $15 CAD for a neck pillow
- $15 CAD for sanitary wipes
- $50 CAD for items the hospital requires us to get (I'm unsure of what at the moment, but when I talk to the nurses on Tuesday the 19th, I will update here.)
- $6 CAD for hand sanitizer
- Anything extra will go towards covering any extra medical fees, as well as gas fare for my post op appointment in July (as its also in Red Deer)
