Malawi Aid Trip (ZAKAT APPLICABLE) - Oct 2019

Insh'Allah on the 26th October 2019 I will be travelling on a SELF-FUNDED Aid Trip to Malawi with Green Crescent Aid UK to distribute various types of aid (ZAKAT APPLICABLE) to the poor people in the rural villages.
Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world and has a high death rate due to water-borne diseases, malnutrition and general poor health.
Green Crescent Aid UK is working in Malawi and has set up various projects that has granted relief to thousands of beneficiaries.
The team will primarily distribute Food Parcels to poor families.
Each food parcel costs £35 (ZAKAT APPLICABLE) weighing a whooping 40KG and will support a family for up to 1 month.
A Food Parcel will consist of:
10kg Rice
10kg Maize flour
5kg Beans
5 litre Oil
2kg Salt
5kg Sugar
3kg Ground nuts
1 traditional cloth for the Women
Sanitary products
