I’m so elated and extremely proud to announce that I have been accepted into my dream Doctoral program! As of October 31, 2023, I have officially been accepted into Nova Southeastern University’s Doctor of Occupational Therapy program, class of 2027. My heart beams with joy to know I have been accepted into this prestigious program before graduating with my Bachelor’s degree (December 8th),giving me ample time to make the best decisions financially for my family and I. I will begin my Doctoral journey in May of 2024. With that being said, the funds for my education are very limited. With the absence of parental support, I see a challenge within the financial sector of my education. I am graciously optimistic and hopeful about this financial challenge. I know my parents as well as myself, have left lasting marks on different souls all around the world. I understand many would love to witness me succeed and flourish within my education with minimal financial hindrance as I am still raising my family. Any amount and any prayer is greatly cherished. I thank you all in advance for your support, prayers, and love.
I am the daughter of late SGT Alberto Montrond and Christl Montrond. My father passed overseas in February of 2006 and my mother’s untimely demise came in March of 2021. I was my mother’s caregiver before she passed away and she made sure to remind me that all of my hard work would pay off, she spoke a soft truth I wasn’t aware of at the time. With both of my parents passings, I took on the role of guardian to my three younger siblings. I was in my second year of my undergrad journey when my mother passed away. Instead of halting my dreams, I decided to continue my education and work full time to support my family. I have no regrets in my decisions. It has been a privilege to raise my siblings all while being a student, showcasing to them what determination and ambition can result in regardless of the trials and tribulations we may face. I’m honored to live this life, I’m blessed to be in the midst of God’s evident grace. I thank you all for reading thus far, for taking the time to embrace a portion of my story.
With so much love,
Nazeraeh Montrond
