NCP Community Track & Pitch Fundraiser

Background:

Newport Community Project was founded in 2019. It is an amalgamation of Newport Athletics Club, Newport Boys National School and other bodies within the community, all on a voluntary basis. It is located in Newport, County Tipperary.

The NCP was formed in order to fulfil a need for an all inclusive outdoor recreational facility for all members of the community.

Facilities:

The development comprises of:

-A 4 lane 200m running track

-A 6 lane 60m sprint track

-A 65m x 35m Astro turf playing pitch

-A 500m walking track (coming soon)

Access:

The facilities are currently enjoyed by local schools and clubs, including: Newport BNS, St. Mary’s Secondary School, Newport AC, Newport RFC, Newport GAA Club, Newport soccer club, Birdhill soccer club and many more. We look forward to opening the 500m walking track to the public once completed.

Funding:

Our NCP committee members have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to secure grants & loans to get this project started. We are making great progress, but are still not finished & we now have large monthly repayments which need to be made.

Fundraiser:

We are asking for your support to help us complete the project, ensure loans are repaid and achieve our end goal, which is a fantastic asset to our community.

Individuals:

Please consider becoming a patron by "Sponsoring a Metre" of track or pitch. Any donation of €100 or more will be automatically be assigned one metre of track or pitch. Alternatively, contribute what you can, as any donations are greatly appreciated.

Businesses:

For €1,000 you can have your business name added to our ‘Patron’s Wall’ on a plaque, to promote your business. This donation will also sponsor areas of the facility, such as: a running lane, start line, finish line, long jump pit, long jump lane, throws area or two goals.

By supporting this fundraiser you are helping ensure our next generation have access to facilities on their doorstep to keep active and enjoy sports.

Any sponsorship & donations can also be paid by Cheque/ Cash to any NCP Committee members (Padraig Gaffrey, Aoife Hayde, Gerry Donohoe, Anne Fagan).
