Liddle Kidz® Foundation | A Work of Heart
Tax deductible
Dear Friends and Family,
As some of you know, I have been chosen as an international global ambassador to participate in the sustainable Liddle Kidz® International Therapeutic Exchange Program (iTEP). This is a HUGE HONOR, as over 4,200 people applied for the 30 volunteer spots on the Liddle Kidz Foundation team going to the Philippines.
My dream has always been to share the power of therapeutic touch with children. At an early age I have always been aware of children whose needs are greater than those of others. I am so excited to be part of this journey and combine these two passions of mine. Over the past four years, I’ve realized the power of therapeutic touch as a pediatric massage therapist. It is a true work of heart.
A little bit about the global outreach program: The team, made up of massage therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, child life specialists and other healthcare professionals, will be in the Philippines for three weeks, starting in December 2019. We will be working in numerous areas of the country, at hospitals, orphanages, and care centers, providing pediatric massage and touch therapy to the children there. We will also be training the children's caregivers and healthcare staff in massage/touch therapy techniques, so that the therapy can continue long after we return home.
The effects of this program are amazing. Volunteer ambassadors from the Liddle Kidz® trip to Vietnam learned this when the director of one of the charity centers they visited told them of a big change that happened once the caregivers there had incorporated the techniques they had learned: The rate of hospitalizations of the kids from the center had dropped from approximately 40 per year to just 2-3 per year! Incredible, right?
To find out more about the program, you can visit The Liddle Kidz Foundation page. And if you’d like to see a video about the Foundation's Global Outreach work – pop by YouTube.com/LiddleKidz (with a box of Kleenex nearby!).
Thanks for taking the time to read all of this. Now... In order to take part in this global outreach program, I’ve got some fundraising to do. If this seems like something you’d like to support, your donation would be very much appreciated. Keep in mind that donations are tax-deductible and some employers will match them. Best of all, your donation helps to fund very important work. To donate to my trip, please visit my fundraising page.
Please feel free to forward this information on or post it on your Facebook page, and let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, in advance, for any support you can provide.
